I know you think you're so special, and that you had enough to break my heart.

You're even proud. You think you're so over me, that I'm just another letter in your alphabet.

You were right about one thing, you hurt me.

But of all the rest, you couldn't have been more wrong, especially about me. I'm spectacular, I'm the light in your eyes, the color on your canvas, the stars in your empty black sky....I AM your alphabet.

You are a boy with boyish feelings and an adolescent outlook on me, but I know you're smart enough to grasp this simple concept; you won't find another me.

You can be with any pretty girl you like now, there aren't any doubts on that. I'm sure you will find another one in a split second. It'll be so simple in the dark of the night, to do your dirty deeds, to snake your way into their hearts and make your impression, to tell your lies, and then to call it quits when the chase is over.

Then what do you have when the stars have faded? When the moon has set? What happens in the truth of the morning, when the same painful realization reaches your skin, bleeds through and attacks your heart and soul with atomic force? What happens when you wake up wondering why it's never something better?

Like you can't fight the rain, or the sun, or the wind, or the seasons, you can't fight the inevitability of the sharp pain of loss. Your loss. Yours only.

How does it feel at the 'top of your ferris wheel' looking way down here?

I heard you found everything you were looking for.

I heard you lost it again.

Don't come running to me; the girl you once knew, isn't here, doesn't know you anymore, nor does she care to.

That girl learned her lesson.
