Lesson of Life Number One
I Know From Experience
Lesson: You can NEVER really trust anyone but your family. You may find that after a week of telling your best friend who you like, it will become the school's latest gossip.
Lainey's Experience: It was tonight actually. I told Anita that I sort of like Alex about 5 days ago. She was all like, "Awww...you guys would make a cute couple...you need to go out sometime!" Yada yada yada. Alex asked me to go to the movies with some of our friends last Friday (not like a date) and sadly I couldn't go because I had to go to my dad's house. I told Anita this morning. And earlier tonight, Alex texts me and says, "When I asked you to the movies I didn't mean it like that." I said, "I know that! What gave you that idea?" You can probably guess....Anita. And we've hardly texted each other since. Which by this time of night we'd usually be in a deep texting conversation about basically nothing! But I did tell him I was really mad at Anita and he said, "Uh oh. Cat fight." I told him that Anita and I have a long history of major fighting (we sure do) and he was like, "Can you please wait until EXPO so I can witness it and use it as my EXPO mystery?" We're doing these little mystery thingies in EXPO...it's stupid.
Anyway, kids...I hope you've learned a lesson today. I know I have. I'm not mad at Anita or anything. But I am just kinda worried that Alex will feel like I like him and that I want to be more than friends with him which I don't. Uggh! I'm screwed...
You know you love me,
Lainey :'-(
